Romain Dallemand was passed over Tuesday as a Louisiana school district picked finalists for their superintendent's job.
He was one of seven semifinalists for the Caddo Parish School District's top job. But he missed the cut when their school board picked three finalists.
Bibb County schools hired Dallemand as their superintendent in 2010, but bought out his contract this winter, after less than two years on the job.
Some Bibb County critics took their campaign against him to the Internet this month, contacting the Caddo district and the Shreveport LA newspaper with critical comments and emails.
Two of the three Caddo finalists are longtime educators in the district; the Shreveport Times reported that many people in the district urged the school board to promote a local candidate.
