Dallas (WTSP) -- George Zimmerman was spotted in Texas over the weekend, after he was pulled over for speeding... and he was armed.
Celebrity gossip website TMZ.com was first to report Zimmerman was pulled over on Sunday near Dallas. He reportedly told police he was going "nowhere in particular" and he also informed them he was armed.
Zimmerman is allowed to possess a firearm after his acquittal in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Florida earlier this month.
CBS 11 in Dallas-Fort Worth reports the officer didn't recognize Zimmerman, who was driving a Honda pickup. Zimmerman told the officer he was armed and was then told to put the weapon in his glove compartment.
The incident was captured on the officer's dashcam.
At some point, Zimmerman asked the officer if he recognized him from television and the officer said he did not.
Ultimately, the 29-year-old was given a warning for speeding, and allowed to go on his way.
