Macon police are investigating a homicide in the Village Green subdivision.
According to Macon-Bibb Coroner Leon Jones, 35-year-old Steven Demond Johnson was shot in the chest multiple times at 5761 Fredricka Place.
The family had been gathered at the home for a "sitting in" to mourn the loss of 73-year old Albert Moore, Sr., who had died of lung cancer.
Macon Police identified the suspect as 38-year old Quinton Jones, and signed a murder warrant on Monday.
Lechelle Moore, Albert Moore's granddaughter says Stephen Johnson was among those who came to pay his respects. That's when Moore tells 13WMAZ her ex, Quinton Jones, came into the home and shot Johnson after an argument.
Lechelle Moore says the first wound was to Johnson's chest. By her account, he then got back up, and Jones shot him again in the head.
Macon Police say Jones is still at large. If you have any information about his whereabouts, you can contact Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68-CRIME.
According to Macon Police, Jones has 19 previous arrests.
