Jones County's deputy coroner says an Illinois man was killed in Saturday's hunting accident.
Jones County deputy Coroner Bill Wright says, a man who was shot while hunting has been identfied as 47-year-old Francisco Hernandez.
Franciso, from Joliet, Illinois, was hunting with 10 other people before he was shot in the head.
Deputies arrived on the scene at around 12:30 Saturday afternoon on Union Hill Church Road.
He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Both the Jones County Sheriff's Office and the Georgia Department of Natural Resources are working the case, says Sgt. Bobby Gay of the Jones County Sheriff's Office.
