What began as a game of Ding Dong Ditch for three north Bibb youths ended with charges that they stole items from several unlocked cars, according to the Bibb County Sheriff's office.
Andrew Ellard, 17, Aaron Jones-Massey, 18, and Wendall Strickland, 18, were charged with entering auto.
According to a sheriff's news release, the teens said they had been playing Ding Dong Ditch -- ringing doorbells at homes in the Wesleyan Woods area, then running away -- when they started grabbing items from unlocked cars in the driveways.
Items reported missing from one car were a hunting bow and arrows, a GPS, a camera, range finder, video camera and sunglasses, valued together at $2,200.
According to the incident report, authorities found identification for Strickland in another car and confronted the suspects at Strickland's home nearby. The stolen items were recovered, according to the Sheriff's office.
