Flint Energy crews are on the scene Friday after a pickup truck took out a large, concrete power pole on Russell Parkway.

Crews are having to replace a transmission pole in front of the bowling alley and are expected to finish about 4 p.m., according to Flint Energies Senior Vice President Jimmy Autry.

He says the pole, while owned by Georgia Power, holds Flint Energies distribution lines and are currently affecting two customers. Pizza Hut and Family Dollar are without power while crews work to replace the pole.

A driver on the scene told us it was a red pickup Ford that had hit the pole.

Flint Energies put out this notice on their Facebook page to caution Warner Robins drivers:

Uh Oh! There was a transmission pole damaged in a car accident on Russell Pkwy early this morning. We've had two consumers out most of the night (Pizza Hut and Dollar Store) and they most likely will be out for awhile longer. It looks like crews from Georgia Power Company will most likely need a crane to change out a large pole on the side of Russell. Be extra careful in this area as traffic starts to pick up
