Two More Arrested in February Beating Death

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office says investigators have arrested two more people in connection with the murder of Robert Saxby, 31, which happened at the Polly's Mirage on Jeffersonville Road back in February.

Bibb Sheriff's Investigators arrested 22-year-old Joe Celery Polk III on Wednesday evening and a 29-year-old Orin Threatt on Thursday morning; both from Macon, according to a news release.

Investigators say Polk is charged with Felony Murder, and Threatt is being held for Felony Murder and Probation Violation Superior Court. Both subjects are being held at the Bibb Law Enforcement Center without bond.

Saxby died in February after being assaulted in the parking lot of Polly's Mirage. Witnesses told investigators that several suspects hit and kicked Saxby and he collapsed in an adjacent parking lot shortly after.

In June, the medical examiner ruled Saxby's death, a homicide with the official cause of death resulting from a cardio-respiratory complication from a cerebral concussion.

Investigators say they released seven warrants were issued for Felony Murder.

The news release says the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force helped make six arrests. The seventh suspect turned himself over to a Bibb County Sheriff's Patrolman.

The nine suspects listed below have been arrested for Felony Murder in reference to this case:

3.) Balkcom, India Octavia, 31 year old

4.) Adams, Maurice Jacquez, 24 year old

5.) Adams, Ralphel Ramone, 32 year old

6.) Iverson, Felesha Denise, 28 year old

7.) Cole, Johnathan Cole, 27 year old

8.) Polk, Celery Joe, 22 year old

9.) Threatt, Orin, 29 year old
