Macon police say they've charged a man with a Friday-night fatal shooting.
Police Chief Mike Burns says they've arrested 21-year-old Cedric Newton and charged him with murder. He's accused of killing 33-year-old Udondra Hargrove, who was shot multiple times just before 9 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Montpelier and Pansy Avenue.
Burns says Newton was arrested at his home around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday and did not resist.
Burns says Newton has been arrested four times since 2005. He says there are no other suspects in the case.
Hargrove's killing marked the third homicide in Macon within four days.
Last Wednesday, an East Macon man was fatally shot at his home on Peachtree Street. Police say Antonio Middlebrooks was shot during an apparent robbery attempt.
Last Tuesday, police say someone shot and killed a man, 28-year-old Vashaun Glover, in a vacant south Macon apartment.
Police say no arrests have been made in the first two killings.
