Macon bar manager arrested, accused of punching patron in face

A manager at a Macon bar was arrested Sunday after a patron said he was punched in the face after paying his bill.

Dexter Richardson, manager at Overtyme Bar And Grill, 2455 Pio Nono Ave., was charged with simple battery, according to a Bibb County Sheriff's Office incident report.

He was off duty when he allegedly assaulted DeShazier Willis who was at the bar having drinks with friends, the report states.

All of the drinks for the party were put on Willlis's tab and when it was time to pay, Richardson confronted him about the bill, the report states. An argument started between Willis's party and Richardson.

When the argument was over, Richardson escorted Willis out of the bar. When they got outside, Richardson stated that Willis still owed money and punched him in the face, the report states.

Several witnesses told the responding deputy that Richardson was the primary aggressor and Richardson was taken to Bibb County jail.
