"The park is open year-round. We're open 365 days a year, 7 days a week," says Park Ranger Sim Davidson.
Little Ocmulgee State Park holds many summer fun activities to add to your list.
"Playgrounds, the visitor center will be open. We have live animal displays in there for them," says Davidson.
Even in the hot Georgia weather, they still have a fun way to cool off.
The fun doesn't stop there. Little Ocmulgee also has fishing, canoeing, tennis, and golf.
Park visitor Ken McCoy says, "We've enjoyed it a lot. All of the people have been good to us. The guys at the golf course have been great. The course is in good condition and I highly recommend people to come and play."
You don't have to go far to enjoy these outdoor activities.
Davidson says, "We're centrally-located right off of 441, so we're real close to Macon you can be here within an hour to an hour-and-a-half."
McCoy says the price is definitely right.
"We're all over 65 so we get the senior rate, so they let us play golf for $28 including carts so thats a good deal."
Little Ocmulgee charges a parking fee of $5 and the park ranger says they depend on it.
"That serves as our primary source of funding for projects right now."
You can buy an annual pass that will get you into all of the state parks.
