This week's 'My Teacher Is Tops' winner comes from the city of Dublin.

Mrs. Kathy Malone teaches 6th grade at the home of the Raiders and says she enjoys every moment.

"I try to give my love for math to them through my excitement and the kids say I get a little hyper and they have to calm me down," said Malone.

The West Laurens Middle School teacher says teaching is her passion and wants her students to succeed in life.

"She's my favorite math teacher that I've ever had," Maddy Lee said.

Maddy Lee nominated Malone for the award and says her teacher knows how to make learning special.

"I feel inspired by her teaching us and how she makes it fun," said Lee.

Her students say she is always their to help when the are having trouble with a math problem.

"I was never good at multiplying decimals, but she taught me in different ways that made me learn," Daniel Loera said.

Mrs. Malone says her students are one of a kind.
