Pam Brookins has a Masters and Specialist Degree from Georgia College and even though this is her 20th year teaching, Miranda Zorens says she's still tops.
"She's my best teacher that I ever had," says Zorens.
That's why Miranda says she wrote 13WMAZ a letter nominating her favorite teacher.
"To me, this is just the greatest honor because this was nominated by a child in the class that's here with me everyday," says Brookins.
Fourth grader, Demitrius Craig says Ms. Brookins is great at teaching new things and thinks she deserves the top teacher award.
"She is the top teacher in making math and science fun," says Craig.
Akiya Huff says her teacher is always there for her and she's glad she was chosen as this week's top teacher.
"If I need anything I can go to her and ask her," says Huff.
Ms. Brookins is involved with more than just teaching. She heads up Creekside's Relay for Life team every year. Last year she says they were able to raise $15,000.
"I do everything I can for this school to raise as much money as we can for Relay for Life," says Brookins. "We've been the top school and the top team in Baldwin County for several years now."
She says she'll share the award with her fellow teachers at Creekside Elementary.
"Here at Creekside we all work together," says Brookins. "So we can all be top at what we do."
Ms. Brookins says she loves her children and she wouldn't trade them for anything.
