Ms. Lashaun Crawford used to teach 4th grade at Rosa Taylor Elementary, but she left to become the assistant principal at Ingram-Pye Elementary.

"She's the best teacher in the world," says former student Christian Thompson.

"I hate math, but she puts it in a really good way that I actually like to do math in the 4th grade," says Shaima Momia.

Even though Ms. Crawford left, that didn't keep Jamecia and Quinton Johnson from nominating her for the My Teacher is Tops Award.

"I wanted to nominate her because she taught me everything I need to know," says Quinton Johnson.

The 4th grade class couldn't wait to fill their former teacher in on the fun she's been missing.

"I miss their smiles. I miss having fun with them, making sure that they're making the right choices in the classroom. Everything, I miss everything about them," says Ms. Crawford.

What some of the kids miss the most is Ms. Crawford's sense of humor.

"She's always been awesome to us. She always does things funny. She always gives us partners," says Momia.

"She makes us laugh and she likes to get us in groups and let us help each other," says Johnson.

Although Ms. Crawford has moved on, the 4th graders will always remember that their teacher was tops.
