Country came to town at Warner Robins High School.
Students and teachers in the Agriculture Education program opened a school farm.
More than 50 students in the "small animal" class are raising chickens and rabbits.
The roughly 160 students in the Ag Education program are plowing their own plots of land for flowers and vegetables, said teacher Veronica Sanders.
The students spend time at the farm everday.
It's located just across the street from the high school.
Sanders said the most important lesson they learn is responsibility.
She said, "They take the rabbits home over the weekends. It's a part of the components of the Agriculture Education program. There's three components, FFA, SAE, and lab. SAE fills the component of taking the rabbits home over the weekend, taking care of them, making sure they have exactly what they need and making them more responsible citizens."
Students and teachers constructed the farm themselves over the summer.
They will host an open house Monday, October 31st at 3:30 p.m.
