Bibb County students will be dismissed early on Feb. 10, the day Superintendent Romain Dallemand announces details of his strategic plan.
Dallemand will discuss his plans in a "kickoff celebration" scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 10 at the Macon Centreplex, according to a news release from the district.
The release says all Bibb County School District employees are expected to attend. Students, state and community dignitaries, people from the community, city and county political representatives, college and university representatives and religious leaders are also invited.
The district lists these release times for the day:
Elementary schools, 12 p.m.;
Middle schools, 11:10 a.m.;
High schools, 11:00 a.m.
The celebration comes just over a year after Dallemand took the Bibb County job. Since then, he's gone on a listening tour of the district's schools and invited community representatives to share their ideas about improving the schools.
Dallemand has already dubbed his strategic plan, "The Macon Miracle."
