Campus Police conducted unannounced, randomized searches of two high schools, arresting one student for drug possession.
A 19-year-old Westside High School student has been charged with battery and disrupting school after a Tuesday morning fight.
According to a Bibb County Schools news release, the student is charged with hitting a 18-year-old female student as well as "affray," meaning he started a fight.
The female was taken to the Medical Center of Central Georgia and is being treated for laceration above her eye.
The male student has also been suspended from school.
