There are a lot of teachers at Oak Hill Middle School, but to 7th grader, DeMarco Farley, there's only one teacher on top.
"It's my first time doing it for any teacher, so I really think he deserved it the mos," Farley said.
DeMarco wrote us a letter nominating his math and science teacher; that's why we surprised Mr. Argoe in his classroom.
"Mr. Argoe makes sure every last student is focused, respectful, and cooperative, and Mr. Argoe has his photo on Google for well teaching," part of the letter read.
His students say Mr. Argoe is different from other teachers because of his funny personality that makes learning easy.
"The way he teach, he ain't boring," Brianna Spikes, a student, said. "He makes jokes and stuff and he makes us laugh."
But he can be serious too.
Some students say they used to have behavior problems, but Mr. Argoe helped them turn that around.
"I did a lot and I regret that, but I changed and hope I'm a better person," student Tiarra Turner said.
"He doesn't have to be here if he doesn't want to, but instead he chose to be here," Farley said. "He puts up with peoples' attitudes."
But for Mr. Argoe, it's his students that make coming to school each day worth it.
"I have a good time when I come to work. They give me a little bit of free range to have a good time and not be too serious," Argoe said.
It's a good time in Mr. Argoe's class where students can learn and have fun at the same time.
We're halfway through the school year, but you still have plenty of time to nominate your top teacher.
Send a one-page, handwritten letter to My Teacher is Tops, 1314 Gray Highway, Macon GA, 31211.
Don't forget to include your name, your teacher's name and the name of your school.
And of course, neatness counts.
