3,379 people cast their ballot early in Bibb County. That's according to election's supervisor Elaine Carr.

She says 573 of those voters cast their ballots Friday.

Carr says turnout seemed slow until the last few days.

She says it picked up when organizations started calling voters, and that helped bring more than 400 voters in Thursday.

Friday afternoon, they lined up at the elections office on Pio Nono Avenue to make their voices heard on several issues.

"We've still got the city elections, the mayors race is still an open race, Richert against a write-in candidate," said Carr. "You've got the SPLOST. You've got the city alcohol sales and the county alcohol sales."

Election day is Tuesday November 8. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
