The only incumbent in the race, John Williams, called the results disappointing and a bad move for Warner Robins.

He was defeated by Mike Davis for the Post 6 seat.

Williams blames negative publicity surrounding his criminal charges in federal and superior court for the loss.

He says he is not guilty of the allegations and unfairly accused.

Williams called the election results, "politics at it's worst." He said, "It's the dirtiest politics that's come through Warner Robins in a long, long time." He would not elaborate on what he meant by that, but said it would come out at his trial.

After watching the landslide results come in, Williams sounded off on a variety of topics.

He pointed fingers at other council members, called the past two years at city hall "chaos" and condemned the Georgia-Robins Aerospace Maintenance Partnership project, known as G-RAMP.

Williams said, "G-Ramp is a hoax. You need to stop allowing your politicians to throw your money away on it. We don't need it. It's not a money-making deal. If it opened today, it will not make the city one dime. If you want to make a GRAMP, go up to Macon to the airport. Put your GRAMP there, it will benefit the whole state and the whole Middle Georgia."

He said he has been "married to the job for the past four years" and saved the tax payers of Warner Robins millions.

Williams promised that this is not the end of his political career. He said he plans to run for mayor in two years, saying, "I think I will make one of the finest mayors Warner Robins ever had."
