ATLANTA -- How modern is the Five Points MARTA station?
Many riders agree that it needs a facelift and is "a little behind the times."
Five Points is MARTA's central hub, but its 1970's architecture isn't exactly appealing to Millennials.
However, something new is coming. Central Atlanta Progress and the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District have $100,000 to spend on a MARTA makeover. The groups are accepting ideas from architects and city planners until Apr. 15.
"(The changes) can be very small," said Jennifer Ball with Central Atlanta Progress. "Often, it relates to signage ... we've had ideas for the Five Points MARTA station in particular that we should just remove the whole entire top of it."
It's just one idea that could become a reality when the projects are greenlit next year.
