ATLANTA (AP) -- Authorities say a Georgia Tech student has shot an intruder who had broken into a house near the campus.
Police say the shooting happened around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday at a house near the Georgia Institute of Technology on the north edge of downtown Atlanta.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the person who was shot was taken to a hospital in critical but stable condition.
Few other details were immediately available early Tuesday.
