Jonesboro woman chared with sex trafficking
JONESBORO, Ga. -- A 27-year-old Jonesboro woman has been arrested for trafficking at least two teenage girls.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has charged Jessica Washington with trafficking, pimping, enticing a child and keeping a place of prostitution.
GBI spokesman John Bankhead said the two victims lived at Washington's apartment, and she forced them to have sex with men for money.
A 14-year-old girl was rescued and is receiving appropriate care and treatment, Bankhead said. Police are still looking for a 16-year-old victim.
Washington is being held in the Clayton County Jail. More charges are pending.
