16-year-old arrested in shooting death of Milledgeville teen

Baldwin investigators working to find killer

A 16-year-old and three others, are in custody for the Sept. 1 shooting death of Deandre Bolston, 19, of Milledgeville.

Bolston died at Oconee Regional Hospital after he was found by deputies at the Milledgeville Manor Apartments with gunshots to the abdomen.

Capt. Brad King with the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office says the alleged killer is in custody as well as 3 other men involved in Bolston's murder.

22-year-old Kevin Askew, the 16-year-old alleged shooter's brother, is charged with murder.

Voisel Renfro, 21, is charged with making false statements and tampering with evidence.

18-year-old Javier Williams is charged with making false statements.

The minor's name has not yet been released.

King says although this case has been solved, there are other gang-related drive-by shootings they're investigating and they still need help. He asks anyone with information is urged to call the Sheriff's Office anonymous tip line at 478-445-5102.
