More than 2,000 people hit the streets of Macon for the 40th Annual Labor Day Road Race. The 5K kicked off at Vineville and Pio Nono Avenues at 8:00 am. The 10K started at 8:30 am at Forsyth Road.
Folks ran through downtown Macon and crossed the finish line at Central City Park.
In the men's division, 44-year-old Brent Fields from Anderson, South Carolina came in first place in the 5K. His finishing time was 15:33:16.
For women, 42-year-old Holly Ortlund of Decatur, Georgia placed first in the 5K. Finishing the race in just 17 minutes with a finish time of 17:26:99.
