Bibb County deputies made two arrests in connection to the fatal shooting in west Macon Friday morning.

According to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, 21-year-old Andre Jackson and 31-year-old Lisa Harris are charged with murder in the death of 37-year-old Marcus Braswell.

It happened at a home on Poppy Avenue Thursday. Investigators found Braswell inside of the home, with two gunshot wounds to the chest. He died at the scene.

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones says this was Macon's 18th homicide this year.

The release states a deputy saw a car on Mercer University Drive near Poppy Avenue that fit the description of a car that was reported stolen.

The deputy then attempted a traffic stop on Daffodil Street near Lilly Avenue. Jackson, who was driving, refused to stop and led the deputy on a brief chase.

The chase ended on Straight Street when Jackson got out of the car and tried to run away. He was arrested after being Tased. Harris was still in the car and was arrested by another deputy.

26-year-old Brandon Haywood was also in the car. The sheriff's office says Haywood also tried to run away, but was Tased and treated at a local hospital. He's been charged with theft of a motor vehicle.

Deputies say more charges may be brought against Harris and Jackson.

The shooting is still under investigation.

Anyone with any other information about what happened can call the sheriff's office at 478-751-7500.
