Residents of South Bibb County's Rutland Corners Apartments were surprised when they arrived home Monday evening. The Macon Water Authority had posted notices on the doors of the units in the complex indicating water will be shut-off on Monday, July 9th due to lack of payment.
According to Kirk Nylund, Customer Service Director with the Macon Water Authority, Tri-Tex Real Estate Advisors are listed on the account as the managing company. As of June 27th the property owners owed the authority $7,205.
Residents tell 13WMAZ there have been recent changes in management at Rutland Corners.
Nylund said the Macon Water Authority gave the property owners five days to pay the bill before notifying residents in the apartments.
The notices posted on the unit doors promises to allow residents to use water every other day, from 6pm until 8pm.
