Inmates and workers at the Bibb County Jail spent part of the day Friday without running water.
Lieutenant Sean Defoe says a water main break near the jail burst about 11:15am Friday.
Crews with the Macon Water Authority were working to repair the pipes as of 2:15pm Friday afternoon.
Defoe says the problem should be repaired within the hour.
