Four candidates have qualified thus far for Bibb County school board races during the extended period.
Qualifying for the Board of Election primary was reopened for July 9 and 10 by court order after three candidates filed a lawsuit challenging the county's outdated district maps.
Tuesday, Angel Davis Hopper and Alan Patrick Taylor joined the race for District 2 against Thelma Dillard, who qualified in May.
Hopper originally qualified for the District 5 race against Tom Hudson before the school board agreed to use the new district maps.
Qualifying continues until 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Though voters will find the Board of Education races on the July 31 ballot in Bibb County, the votes won't count until the special primary on August 21.
Election official Jeanetta Watson said it was too late to change the ballot but that they are posting notices about the delayed school board vote in polling locations and at the Board of Elections.

Monday, the first day of the extended qualifying period, Michael McKeever and Merritt Johnson threw their names in the ring.
McKeever, a Democrat, made the contest for the District 1 seat a three-way race against incumbent Ella Carter and newcomer Brenda Sutton.
Sutton was one of the plaintiffs in the district maps lawsuit.
Johnson, a Democrat, entered the District 3 race against incumbent Susan Sipe.
Prior to the use of the new district maps, District 2 candidate Dillard was running unopposed and now finds herself pitted against an ally in Hopper.
