Bibb County introduced a new way to report non-emergency concerns. As part of the new Citizen Service Request, the See, Click, Fix technology is now available.

It gives people the power to immediately to let officials now about problems from potholes to possible flooding issues.

The City of Macon launched the program on April 24, 2012.

Director of Public Affairs Chris Floore says since then 1,853 issues have been opened and 1,869 closed.

Floore says the number of issues closed is higher because some were already in the system before it officially launched to the public.

He says 369 cases of debris, 168 cases of dead animal pick and 43 cases of ditch cleaning have came in through the See, Click, Fix program.

Bibb County has now joined in to get real-time updates both on-line and through the mobile technology.

If you see a problem, for instance a broken a malfunctioning traffic light or a missing or damaged traffic sign just snap a picture with your phone.

You can report the problem online at the county's website or on facebook.com/bcboc.

You can also use the See, Click, Fix app for your smart phone.

When you download the free application, it finds your current location. You can either use that or change it to another place if your not at the area where you've noticed the issue.

From there select the issue title from those listed, that best relates to the problem, and you can also describe it in detail.

Click on add photo and submit. Then the county will be alerted.

The first year for the initiative was funded by a $5,000 grant from the Knight Foundation, who also helped the city's program.

Also with the See, Click, Fix program you can choose to "watch" an area.

Then you'll be alerted when anyone sends a report about an issues nearby.
