Macon police have identified a man who is in a coma after being found bleeding from the head and face outside a Vineville business Saturday.
He is 51-year-old Albert Jelks.
He was found lying on the sidewalk near 3254 Vineville Avenue around 7:30 Saturday morning, outside the Sleep Shop, where he works.
A family member told 13WMAZ that Jelks underwent surgery Saturday at the Medical Center of Central Georgia to relieve pressure on his brain.
Police say they don't know whether Jelks was attacked or had an accident and hit his head.
Police say he was breathing but unresponsive when they found him.
