More than 18 families with children battling cancer came together at Lane Southern Orchard in Fort Valley Sunday, for an event hosted the Jay's Hope Foundation.
"If you didn't see her walker, you'd think she was normal," says Dave Seitz about his eight-year-old daughter.
The Director of Jay's Hope, Cindy Gaskins, says it's a chance for families to forget their child's diagnosis for a few hours. The Seitz family, who is also a part of the 13WMAZ family, brought Kylie. She had a type of bone cancer, but is now in the clear.
As of July, Dave says she has come off her treatment. Like Kylie, Salaam Goins shares a story of success. "I'm a cancer survivor," says Goins from Warner Robins.
Jay's Hope sets up events once every month.
