Just before 4 a.m. Sunday, Macon police were called to the scene of a shooting but when they arrived, the victim was not there, even though he had been shot in the chest.
According to a news release, 24-year-old Johnny Jackson was taken by friends to the Medical Center of Central Georgia after being shot att Club Action in the 3200 block of Pio Nono Avenue.
When officers attempted to gather information on the scene, they say people outside the club were uncooperative. They were able to get several shell casings.
The case is still open and police ask that anyone with information about the shooting call Macon Police at 751-7500 or Crimestoppers at 1-877-68-CRIME.
Police have not given an update on Jackson's condition.
