Friends and Family Honor Larry Gene Justice

Family and friends came out to Mikado Baptist Church to help celebrate and honor the life of Larry Gene Justice.

He died August 14th, 2012 following a lengthy illness.  He was 74 years old.

Justice was a former Bibb County Commission Chairman and a long-time community leader.

"He was a great politician, a great Maconite who did great things for this community,"  William Randall said.

He was a native of Macon,  born on December 1, 1937.  Justice attended Lanier High School and the Georgia Institute of Realtors.  He held a successful career as Realtor from 1969-1990, before he began serving as Chairman of the Bibb County Board of Commissioners full time.

"He was a life long public servant and he will surely be missed," Sam Hart said.

Justice was big on family and loving those around him.

"He had a great impact on his family.  They all loved and adored him and he was just a great man,"  Kim Lafever said.

He was just an exemplary man, no doubt about it.  He was everything a man would want to be," Tommy Goss said.

Reverends Rusty Smith and Ed Chambless officiated the ceremony. 

Burial for Justice was held at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Justice is survived by his wife, Shirley O'Neal Justice, of Macon and for children, Alan Justice M.D., Mark Justice, Angela Justice, Angela Justice, and Tonya Haney.  He eight grandchildren, Landon Justice, Jordan Justice, Lindsey Justice, James Justice, Kelsey Justice, Morgan Haney, Nickolas French, and Autumn Mimbs.
