Over 300 runners laced up their sneakers and hit the pavement in Macon Sunday to "Run with Ronald."
This was the first year of the "Running with Ronald" 5.10K race at Tattnall Square Park.
Runners got a workout while helping the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
The Ronald McDonald House provides a place to stay for parents whose children are in the hospital.
Organizers added the .10 miles onto the race to mark the 10 years the facility has been open.
"I delivered a set of premature twins, Drew and Kaylea. We are from Tifton and we stayed 101 days at the Ronald McDonald House. This charity is very dear to our hearts. We have been involved since we left," says Dawn Pridgen.
"We've got family activities, so a lot of our families have been invited back and have come back to run, but also just to celebrate with us. So we have activities in the park for them to enjoy as well," explains Julie Wilkerson.
Proceeds raised from the race will go to helping build another Ronald McDonald House.
