Christine Perera's mugshot (Florida Dept. of Corrections)
The woman who ran a Macon private school until parents revealed her criminal history is now a wanted fugitive, according to the Florida Department of Corrections.
In October, parents of students at Progressive Christian Academy told 13WMAZ about their concerns that the woman running the school, Christina Hawkins, was actually a Florida felon.

She's listed by the Florida DOC's website as Christine Perera.
Another of the aliases for Perera, according to the agency's website is Christine LaRocca, the same name listed as the registered agent for H.O.P.E. Of Macon Management Corporation, which lists 151 Madison St. as its address.
That's the same address as Progressive Christian Academy.
Betty Tolbert, the school's founder, filed a lawsuit claiming she was defrauded by Sunrise Enterprises, Inc., the company that bought the facilities in foreclosure.
In December, a judge ruled that the school's new owners cannot sell or lease the facilities without the court's permission, and that the school cannot be operated as "Progressive Christian Academy" until the suit is settled.
A few weeks earlier, the state shut down the day care at the school because agency said it was being operated without a license.
The Florida DOC previously told 13WMAZ that Perera was allowed to travel to Georgia on probation, but that the privilege was revoked and she was required to return to Florida upon learning of the investigation into Progressive Christian.
