A 50-year-old Macon man was arrested by a bike patrol officer after a downtown business told police he'd stolen their tip jar.
That's according to a news release.
Thomas Augustus Waller, III, was arrested Monday he after admitted to stealing and spending the money.
The victims told police the suspect wore a cross and carried a Bible during the theft.
Waller has been charged with theft by taking, two Superior Court probation violations, a special court probation violation and failure to appear.
He remains in the Bibb jail with a $650 bond.
