Wilkinson County's sheriff says two high school teachers facing child-molestation charges are accused of improper contact with the same 15-year-old girl.
One of those teachers, Rodney Hunter, appeared in court today to hear the charges against him.
Hunter is a sergeant and teacher in the school's Air Force JROTC program.
Sheriff Richard Chatman said the the molestation charges are based on Hunter allegedly kissing the girl at least three times.
He said that came to light this week after investigators interviewed the girl about Cornelius Dontae Jones. Jones also faces molestation and sodomy charges.
Like Jones, Hunter was sent back to jail without bond.
School board chairwoman Marjo Baisden told 13WMAZ's Katelyn Heck that she believes authorities have responded properly and she wants to assure parents that the schools are safe. Unfortunately, she said, educators are human.
