The weather may have contributed to several traffic accidents across Central Georgia Monday morning.
Law enforcement agencies were busy with crashes, including an overturned tractor trailer truck at the Putnam-Jones County line. Traffic around the area on Hwy 129 was diverted and the driver of the truck had to be cut-out of his cab. He was taken to a Macon area hospital and his condition is not known.
Fallen trees were also a problem. One tree fell across Hwy 49 in Jones County at the entrance to Mattie Wells Elementary school and Hampton Lake subdivision.
Crews with a chainsaw were called to clear that debris.
