Byron restaurant feeds local law enforcement

Byron business feeds local law enforcement

The men and women of law enforcement have a stressful job.

With weather and traffic this past week, it's been even more difficult.

Thursday, a Byron restaurant owner wanted to help give the Thin Blue Line a break.

Hudson's Bar-B-Que on Highway 49 opened its doors to law enforcement with a free lunch.

This is their second year of honoring the men and women in blue.

Owner Dan Hudson says it's one of the highlights of his year.

"Getting all together, let everybody kind of have a little fellowship, get a good meal, and just really thank them for what they've done, and especially here in the wake of the storm that we've, that middle Georgia just went through," said Hudson.

Hudson says he expected to feed around 80 people this year.
