Central Georgia nonprofits need your help on Georgia Gives Day

Giving Tuesday supports local nonprofits

Tuesday is Georgia Gives Day and dozens of nonprofits across the state want your donations, including many here in Central Georgia.

Here are just some of the nonprofits seeking your donations. If you'd like to donate to them, just click on their names for a direct link and to see what those donations will go toward.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Heart of Georgia

  • Help improve third grade reading and high school graduation rates in Central Georgia. 
  • Help us provide screened and trained Volunteers to mentor school-age youth, driving educational achievement and positive social development -- building a stronger community.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Georgia

  • Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Georgia is a youth development organization dedicated to promoting the health, social, education, vocational and character development of boys and girls in Bibb and Houston Counties.

Bridging the Gap of Georgia, Inc.

  • BTG works directly with the veterans on a one-on-one basis. They provide food, and shelter, and educational assistance directly to as many veterans as they can afford.

Central Georgia CASA, Inc.

  • Central Georgia CASA provides volunteer advocates for abused and neglected children in Bibb, Crawford, and Peach counties.

Crisis Line & Safe House of Central Georgia, Inc.

  • The organization’s goal is to provide crisis intervention, comprehensive support services, and safe shelter for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, and to educate the community about the cycle of violence and its prevention.

Heart of Georgia Hospice. Inc. 

  • Heart of Georgia Hospice has been serving families facing a terminal illness since 1985. For over 27 years, they have helped to bring comfort and support to families across Central Georgia.

Jay’s Hope Foundation, Inc.

  • The goal is Jay’s Hope is to improve the quality of life of children with cancer and their families in Georgia by extending emotional, spiritual, social, financial, and educational support.

Meals on Wheels of Middle Georgia, Inc.

  • Meals on Wheels of Middle Georgia delivers friendship, comfort, hope, and hot nutritious meals to seniors and the disabled.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Georgia

  • It is our mission to provide care and support for families of seriously ill, critically injured or medically fragile children being treated at area medical facilities.

Otis Redding Foundation

  • The Otis Redding Foundation’s mission is to empower, enrich, and motivate all young people through programs involving music, writing and instrumentation.

The Mentor's Project of Bibb County

  • The Mentors Project provides role models for Bibb County Public School students so they can reach their full academic, social and personal potential.

The Rainbow House

  • For more than 30 years, Rainbow House Children's Resource Center has relied on fundraising and support from the community to help children that have been sexually abused.

United Way of Central Georgia

  • United Way of Central Georgia helps improve people's lives and strengthen our community in the 14 counties they serve. They support 32 local health and human service agencies that serve more than 100,000 central Georgians.
