Damage reports from Central Georgia counties

Tropical storm damage in Alamo.

Here are damage reports from Central Georgia counties around 8:30 a.m.

BIBB

8:15 A.M. EMA reports a few traffic lights are out; Arkwright and Sheraton, Skipperton and Hartley Bridge, and Bloomfield/Rocky Creek Road; crews are en route

DODGE

8:15 A.M fire departments are out cleaning up debris and limbs; no reports of large trees; lots of roads underwater.

8:30 AM: Highway 87 was blocked by downed power lines. Both lanes were blocked.

DOOLY

8:15 A.M Heavy rain, winds picking up – no damage right now though

HOUSTON

8:15 A.M Four trees are down; crews out; 1,100 people without power at 8:15.

LAURENS:

Some trees down but no major damage reported.

PULASKI

Lots of trees reportedly down

TELFAIR

Lots of trees and power lines reportedly down south of McRae.

TREUTLEN

No damage reported

WHEELER

Power is reportedly out in Alamo, and deputies reportedly removed a tree from Highway 31-441 about a mile north of Little Ocmulgee State Park.

9:45 AM: Alamo Police Chief Roger Bryant says power in the city was out from 6:30 until about 9:30. He said all of the city and county now has power.
