Deputies investigate after driver stuffed in own trunk, taken out and shot twice

Just after 2:30 a.m., Bibb County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a call of a person shot Madden Avenue in Macon. When deputies arrived, they found 28-year-old Adrian Robinson, shot twice.

Robinson told deputies he was visiting a relative at the College Park Apartments located on Williamson Road. He was sitting in his vehicle when an unknown male walked up to the vehicle and asked him for a lighter.

The suspect jumped into the passenger side of Robinson’s vehicle. 4 other suspects, whom Robinson could not describe, also got in the vehicle. Robinson was put in the trunk of the vehicle and driven around for a period of time before ending up back on Madden Avenue. Robinson says the suspects removed him from the trunk and shot him on the right side of his neck and right leg.

Robinson was transported to the Navicent Health Hospital where he is listed in stable condition. Robinson’s vehicle is a dark blue 2007 Honda Accord. The tag is a Georgia plate but the tag number is not known at this time.

Anyone with information about the incident or the Honda Accord is asked to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500, or call Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
