Fickling pays fine to settle nuisance citation

Months after an initial complaint was filed, Kerri Hatcher Fickling has settled her case out of court.

According to Judge Robert Faulkner, she paid a $106.25 fine in an agreement with the solicitor's office.

The ticket she agreed to pay the fine for was for a violation of car and control of animals, and was the standard fine for allowing her dogs to roam free.

As a result, the settlement dismissed two additional tickets.

The issue began when neighbors in Macon's Ingleside neighborhood were upset about the noise from a kennel on her property.

Faulkner says the settlement does NOT force Hatcher Fickling to remove the dogs from her property.

He says that is for "another complaint and court" to decide.
