Ga. Secretary of State investigating Gordon city elections

The Georgia Secretary of State's office is investigating possible voting irregularities during the recent election in the city of Gordon. Gordon is located in Wilkinson County and according to the latest Census numbers, has a population of about 2,000 people. The Jared Thomas, a spokesman with the Secretary of State's office, confirms they have an open investigation because of an allegation that unqualified voters were getting illegal assistance.

Wilkinson County Elections Supervisor Tracy Strange said she was aware that complaints were filed, but she has received no notification from the Secretary of State's office regarding an investigation.
