GBI: Tenn. residents who assisted in fugitives' capture will get reward money

Authorities in Tennessee discussed the circumstances leading to the capture Thursday evening of two Georgia prison escapees accused of killing two corrections officers. The arrests of Ricky Dubose and Donnie Rowe comes after a three-day massive manhunt.

The Tennessee residents who helped authorities in the capture of two escaped Georgia prisoners Thursday will get a share of the $130,000 reward.

The GBI released the following statement Friday.

As the investigation into prison inmates Ricky Dubose and Donnie Rowe continues, information has revealed that the bravery of Tennessee civilians contributed to the apprehension of both inmates.  The reward will be dispersed at the appropriate time.  As there were several aspects involved in their apprehension, law enforcement will continue to review them and determine how it will be dispersed.
