Fake hand grenade found on Atlanta Greyhound bus

ATLANTA -- Atlanta Police have reopened several streets downtown after determining a hand grenade found on a Greyhound bus was fake.

The grenade reportedly fell out of a box on a bus at the Forsyth Street Greyhound station. It was discovered shortly before 5 a.m. Monday.

Dispatchers asked police to block Forsyth Street, as well as Peachtree and Brotherton streets near the scene. All roads have since reopened.

A bomb squad removed the device from the bus. According to reports, it was a fake grenade.
