Grand jury indicts man in south Macon murder, carjacking

A Bibb County grand jury indicted Hymetheus Johnson on two counts of murder and one count of carjacking.

Johnson is accused of shooting and killing 23-year-old Jovante Passard on July 15, 2016 outside a home on Trade Wind Road.

Police say Johnson shot Passard multiple times before leaving in a green Honda Accord.

The indictment alleges that Johnson carjacked that Honda Accord.

Johnson was arrested outside of Atlanta in Lithonia, GA after an anonymous tip came through Crime Stoppers.
