We're less than a week away from a community favorite costumed charity road race.
The 11th annual Jay's HOPE Trek or Treat Road Race is this Saturday at Bass Pro Shops in Macon.
There will be a competitive 5K and 10K with chip timers so you can record your personal best.
Kids can race in the unSpooky Sprint and collect Halloween goodies on the Candy Mile. Everyone is encouraged to run in a costume.
Proceeds benefit Jay's HOPE's mission, supporting central Georgia families affected by childhood cancer.
"It's really a fun event, a lot of our Jay's HOPE families come out and for them it's really great to see the community coming together and knowing that they're doing this to support them, to support our families that are battling childhood cancer," says community relations coordinator Christie Johnson.
After that, you can register in person at packet pick-up on Friday at Bass Pro Shops from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., or register day of the race on Saturday.
If running isn't your thing, register to be a ghost runner. You'll support the event and you'll still get a t-shirt.
