If you're looking for something fun do to with your family this weekend, there are some cold-blooded friends waiting for you at the Museum of Arts and Science on Forsyth Road in Macon.
This Saturday, the museum is hosting a 'Reptile Rendezvous' from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
People can have to the chance to get up closed and personal with several types of snakes, lizards, turtles, and geckos.
Animal curator Sharron Cornacchione says it's a great opportunity to learn more about animals some find scary.
"A lot of people are scared of them but I always say that fear comes from lack of knowledge, so once you learn about them, the fear kind of goes away, so you'll be able to learn all kinds of interesting facts about them," says Cornacchione.
The cost of event is covered by their regular admission. Adults are $10, senior citizens are $8, kids are $5, and kids 3 and under are free.
