Log Cabin Drive will be closed temporarily on Saturday, October 29, for construction work, according to a news release.
It says the section of Log Cabin Drive from Mercer University Drive to Napier Avenue will be closed to through traffic from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. so construction of the pedestrian bridge over Rocky Creek can begin.
Drivers are advised to use Edna Place to travel between the sections listed above.
The pedestrian bridge will not be open after this weekend’s work. It is expected to be completed within the following weeks and will be opened once it is deemed to be safe.
